Certified Agile Scaling Practitioner Trainer
In order to deliver CASP courses, approved trainers must possess an elevated level of knowledge and experience in the practice of scaling. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to convey their expertise through the validation and assessment of their educational content.

CASP Trainer candidates and applications must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must hold, and visible on their profile, an active CSP-SM, CSP-PO, and/or CSP-D
- A CASP Trainer candidate must successfully complete a Training Skills Assessment (TSA) after all course materials are approved [WAIVED FOR CST or CSAT]
- A CASP Trainer candidate must hold, and have visible on their profile, an active CASP (or deprecated CASP 1 or CAS-S1) badge
- A CASP Trainer candidate must validate at least 12 months, within the last 60 months of scaling experience, including key learnings and impacts to your trainings. Experience may include: directly engaging in affecting change in an agile organization or with agile teams, where your first-hand experience has shaped the evolution of your scaling mindset and/or approach(es). [For CSTs, months of experience can include months since approval to deliver CSP-SM and/or CSP-PO course types]. [WAIVED for CEC and/or CTC].
- A CASP Trainer candidate must have instructed or co-instructed at least seven (7) scaling courses within the last 60 months. These courses may be certified or uncertified. (co-instruction could include LeSS courses). At least one of these courses must be co-instructed with a previously approved CST or CSAT CASP Trainer. [WAIVED for CST or CSAT].
- Must submit mapped CASP training materials, which validate the most recent version of the CASP learning objectives.
- Must submit mapped CASP training materials, which validate the most recent version of the Scrum Alliance CASP learning objectives.
- Must provide a thorough course offering overview for the submitted course, painting a portrait of the student experience. This overview must detail the minimum 16 hours of course instruction. Please credit all sources where appropriate and request appropriate permission(s) for photos, illustrations, etc. Please include with your application a list of sources to be acknowledged. It is YOUR responsibility as the candidate to make sure that you have appropriate rights and licenses to any materials you use.
- Application must demonstrate candidate instructional path and goals, including your unique delivery style/approach.
- A CASP Trainer candidate must have participated in at least one Scrum Alliance event (Global or Regional Scrum Gathering, or Agile Coaching Retreat) within the last 60 months. [WAIVED FOR CST, CSAT, CTC, and/or CEC].
- A CASP Trainer candidate must provide evidence of at least 2 instances of active community engagement in the agile/scrum community for at least 60 months prior to application. [WAIVED for CST, CSAT, CTC, and/or CEC].
- A CASP Trainer candidate must successfully complete a Training Skills Assessment (TSA) after all course materials are approved [WAIVED FOR CST or CSAT].

Application updates or re-applications must be submitted through this platform. Applications expire after one calendar year and application fees are non-refundable.
